Good sleep, space and great staff.

Finally soke space in the room. This grade is in comparison to other hotels I stayed in Japan. Great position, 15 min to Kyoto station by foot.

There was some noice from ER but nothing alarming.

What was the highlight of Framboise KYOTO Hotel de charme

Very Good

You can see that it is pretty fresh, good bathroom with all the toiletry provided, clean and fresh linen. Kitchenette is quite small, but you have everything you need for a decent breakfast preparation.

Location is a bit far away both from station and other facilities, but we were aware of it. It would be nice if there would be on sire breakfast option available.

Expensive but pleasant stay in tiny bedroom with free drinks and coffee

I liked everything except the tiny bedroom. The staff were great, the free drinks and dining area with coffees etc were great too. The rooms are basic but clean and the bedroom is so small there is no space to at the side to get in and out of bed. The cost of the room £220 per night is way too much though. Not to far to walk from Kyoto station and restaurants nearby..

A pleasantly furnished and run hotel, very clean and practical. Excellent bargain for the money.

The place was very clean but to find a place to eat it was necessary to take a cab or several means of public transportation. Personnel speaks very little English or other languages: more than in most other Japanese hotels, but still having to use Google Translator for important things. However, everyone is extremely kind and helpful. We stayed in regular double rooms at first and were enthusiastic , although it was below street-level the area was so quiet and overlooked a back-street, so we never got disturbed. The expresso machine in the hall and free laundry are a definite plus for this pretty and clean hotel.

The curious thing: I needed an extra one for my back which they refused to give me, so I offered to purchase a new one, but the owner was adamant: no extra pillows. What if someone spills something on the pillow? I asked. Then you'd have to buy a new pillow but you won't get to use it anyhow. One pillow per bed ONLY. They had a special offer if you extended your stay, but when we asked to stay longer they made us check-out and check back into a different room, which was a suite and was probably used only for parties, since some pieces were broken and other were dirty, not to mention the smell of vomit we had to buy spray for to take out.

Nice staff, free coffees and amenities. The room is very spacious, the beds are comfortable and everything looks new. You feel like at home. Very comfort room

It's very far from the station, and not so many restaurants around.

Wonderful

Really comfy and spacious room, with bath and kitchen facilities. Very big comfy beds! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only drawback for us was the location. There isn't a bustle or vibe to the area, and it feels very quiet and cut off from the busier areas we'd stayed in previously.

Big room and comfy bed and a kitchenette to use.

The position was not good. Also if it is 1.5 km walk from the station, in the neighborhood there aren’t restaurants or pleasant shops but only few konbini.

A clean, comfortable hotel some way from the centre but good value for money

The room was clean and comfortable - a little larger than the rooms in the other hotels we stayed in whilst in Japan. We had a connecting door to our son's room, which was very handy. The hotel had laundry and coffee facilities for guests. There are restaurants nearby.

The hotel is some distance from the railway station, although it is a level walk, and even further from the historic attractions. The hotel does not offer breakfast (but there are convenience stores nearby where rolls etc can be bought).

Exceptional

Lovely hotel, 15 minute walk from Kyoto station. Quiet and comfortable, lovely staff on reception and had a coffee lounge and laundry facilities. Everything was great. Would stay here again

Comfortable stay in Kyoto

Big comfortable bed, free laundry machine, everything was very clean, usb charger next to bed (foreign friendly), easy check out

The position isn’t the best as you will need at least 15-20min by foot from Kyoto St. Hachijo East exit, 15 min from Tofukuji and 10 min from Kujo. No other option, so consider this the minimum walking distance if you’re not planning to take a taxi. Everything else was great :D

GREAT PLACE TO REST YOUR WEARY HEAD

The cleanliness of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff, free coffee, free luggage storage which also got put into the room for you. Decent sized room. Comfy beds. All the staff are such an asset to Framboise, free washing machine and dryer.

Very Good

- The room is nice. Big spacious room with a good space offer for toilets. - Cleaning room - Good coffee - somehow relatively close to Kyoto Station and bus 207(which transfers you to Gion and the rest of the nightlife - full equipped with 15+ towels

- The room was nice but not so clean (I will say that the dust it should be more important in the cleanup :) ) - i also want to appoint the fact that is not so close to the station

Our room was quiet and clean and it was cleaned every third day (we stayed 13 days).

Coffee and tea were for free and two drinks/person/day for free as well. We liked the small kitchen in our room, it worked well enough. 10 minutes to the nearest subway and 15 minutes to the nearest train station so the situation was exellent. There were small food stores in 5 minutes distance.

The staff´s english skills could have been better, but they were very kind and helpful and everything became clear at least with help of Google translator.
